The Star Trek: Vigilant campaign actually started about a year ago when we sought something to do while waiting for Battlestar Galactica to be released (if I remember correctly). We didn't have anything more than incomplete, bootleg copies of the Player's Guide and Narrator's Guide at the time and the game never even got through the first episode since BSG came out practically the next day.
Since we've gotten the proper books recently, as a well as a whole slew of other sourcebooks as well, we decided to recreate this campaign, rerolled our old characters (with new ones in a couple of cases) and brought the new player who'd joined the group since then into the game.
This campaign takes place in a slightly altered timeline from the Star Trek: Enterprise series, diverging at roughly around the Demons and Terra Prime episodes. My own character, T'Pril Tucker, is the daughter of Charles Tucker and T'Pol (I didn't like the name Elizabeth since it's my own middle name and that's just weird).
No, I'm not exactly a full blown Trekkie but I am a bit of a geek. :D
